Dinosaur State Park and Arboretum
About
Dinosaur State Park preserves an extraordinary paleontological site where more than 2,000 Early Jurassic dinosaur tracks, laid down roughly 200 million years ago, are protected inside a geodesic dome exhibit center. Geology exhibits explore Connecticut's prehistoric landscape, and live animals provide context for understanding the natural world across time. Outside, an arboretum and system of nature trails wind through varied habitats, making the park as much a place for outdoor exploration as indoor learning. A unique program allows visitors to make plaster casts of actual dinosaur tracks to take home.
