Plimoth Patuxent
About
Plimoth Patuxent (formerly Plimoth Plantation) operates on the conviction that encountering history directly โ through conversation, demonstration, and physical space โ changes how people understand it. The museum's campus includes a reconstructed Wampanoag Homesite, a 17th-century English Village, the Mayflower II ship, and craft center galleries. Interpreters engage visitors in genuine dialogue about Wampanoag and English cultures, their cooperation and conflict, and the complexities of the 1620s. The museum deliberately centers Wampanoag perspectives alongside English colonial narratives, offering a more complete and honest account of this pivotal moment in American history.
