Daniel Greenberg is a co-founder of the Sudbury Valley School in Framingham, Massachusetts, which he helped establish in 1968 as a radically democratic alternative to conventional schooling. He has a PhD in physics from Columbia University and has written extensively about the Sudbury model, democratic education, and the philosophy of freedom in education. His many books, published by the Sudbury Valley School Press, document the theory and practice of democratic schools and their outcomes for graduates.
