DISCOVERY Children's Museum
About
DISCOVERY Children's Museum is Las Vegas's premier destination for hands-on learning for children and families, located in the Donald W. Reynolds Discovery Center in the downtown Las Vegas Cultural Corridor. With 26,000 square feet across three floors and nine distinct galleries, the museum transforms learning into play across a wide range of disciplines. Galleries are designed to engage children from toddlers through tweens with age-appropriate challenges and open-ended exploration. The Young At Art studio invites creative expression in visual arts; H2Whoa! explores water science with sensory water tables and engineering challenges; KidVenture focuses on community and occupational play; and the Summit gallery features a three-story climbing structure that develops physical literacy alongside spatial reasoning. The museum places particular emphasis on early literacy and STEM skills, with programming designed to support school readiness and reinforce classroom learning. The Toddler Treehouse is specifically designed for children under three, offering safe sensory exploration in an enriched environment. DISCOVERY On Wheels is the museum's community outreach initiative, bringing hands-on learning experiences directly to schools, libraries, and community centers across Southern Nevada β serving children who may not otherwise have access to museum programming. This commitment to equitable access extends to discounted admission programs for low-income families. Summer camps, birthday parties, scout programs, and school field trips make DISCOVERY a hub for children's learning in the Las Vegas valley. The museum's location in the Smith Center arts complex provides easy access to complementary cultural programming.
