Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance sits within Denver's City Park on 84 acres, making it one of the most visited cultural attractions in Colorado. Founded in 1896 and celebrating its 130th anniversary in 2026, the zoo is home to more than 3,000 animals representing over 450 species from every continent. The zoo's habitat areas span the globe: Toyota Elephant Passage is one of the largest elephant environments in North America; Predator Ridge houses a variety of big cats and African predators in interconnected habitats; Primate Panorama is home to gorillas, orangutans, and gibbons; and Bird World offers walk-through aviaries.
