Adventure Science Center
About
Adventure Science Center is Nashville's premier science education destination, offering hands-on learning experiences for children and families across four floors of interactive exhibits. Located on Fort Negley Boulevard near downtown Nashville, the museum invites visitors to explore science through direct engagement rather than passive observation. The Sudekum Planetarium, housed within the museum, features a 63-foot dome and state-of-the-art projection technology for immersive full-dome astronomy shows. Programming ranges from classic star tours designed for young children to laser light shows and live telescope observations. Exhibit galleries cover a broad range of science disciplines, from human biology and physical science to earth sciences and space exploration. Signature experiences include BodyQuest, which explores the human body through life-size interactive displays, and the Space Chase gallery focused on astronomy and space technology. Adventure Science Center runs ASC Summer Adventures camps for ages 4โ12, along with school field trip programs, homeschool days, and scout programs tied to merit badge requirements. The museum's location in a historically significant area โ adjacent to Fort Negley, the largest inland Union fortification built during the Civil War โ adds additional educational context for visitors exploring Nashville.
