About

The Orlando Science Center has served as Central Florida's hub for hands-on science exploration since 1955, offering four floors of exhibit halls, immersive theater experiences, and live Science Live programs presented by trained science educators. Located in the Loch Haven Cultural Park, the museum sits alongside the Orange County Regional History Center and Orlando Museum of Art, forming one of the region's major cultural districts. The museum's exhibit galleries cover topics from dinosaurs and geology to engineering design challenges, human biology, and digital technology. DinoDigs invites visitors to excavate simulated fossil beds, while other galleries feature build-your-own structures, weather and climate demonstrations, and a dedicated early childhood discovery zone. The Science Live team presents daily programs including explosive chemistry demonstrations and live animal encounters. The museum houses an immersive film theater currently undergoing expansion to a cutting-edge 8K laser digital system. Educational films on science, nature, and technology complement the gallery experience. A 4Roots Cafe serving locally sourced foods makes the museum a comfortable destination for extended family visits. OSC's STEM Discovery Center offers year-round education programming including school field trips, preschool programs, youth camps, and community outreach. The museum participates in the ASTC Passport Program and offers a Science For All reduced admission program for EBT/WIC cardholders ($5 per person for up to six individuals).
